Ingredients

4 large pieces of fried fish (see recipe for fried fish if needed)
1.5 Onions, chopped (sweet or yellow)
3 Tbsp butter
1.5 Tbsp olive oil
4 Tbsp flour
2 Cups of water
1 Tsp Better than Bullion chicken flavor
Salt and pepper to taste
Smothered goodness!

Instructions

1.In a large heavy pan, saute onions and olive oil for approximatly 3 mins on medium heat. Add Butter and saute until melted.
2.Add Flour and brown until onions and flour turns brown.
3.After 2 mins, add your fish and let simmer on low for about 5 mins.
4.Once brown in color after about 20 mins, add water, Better than Bouillon and salt and pepper to taste. Stir well.
5.After your smuthered fish and gravy is hot, check on your grits and add butter.
6.Serve hot and add hot sauce as needed. Enjoy!
