
4 Red Snapper filets | |
1 container of Frenches fried onions | |
1 tblsp olive oil - Add more if pot gets dry | |
1 tblsp butter - Add more if pot gets dry | |
2 Key limes | |
Salt and Pepper to taste | |
Key Lime Butter: 2 tblsp butter and about 5 Key limes |
Delicious with Fresh caught fish!
1. | Rinse your filets and pat dry. Season with salt and pepper. Don't use too much salt as the fried onions are salted. In a ziplock back place the fried onions inside and crush. |
2. | Warm up your cast iron skillet to about medium. Add olive oil and butter. Place fish in ziplock bag and press mixture against fish and place in hot pan. If it doesn't stick add more to the fish in the pan. Cook on each side for about 3-5 mins. |
3. | Prepare your butter! Add keylimes and mix with softened butter. Mix, mix and mix with a fork until blended. Once your fish is ready top with a few squirts of key limes and a dash of the key lime butter! Add optional sauted kale with salt and pepper. Enjoy! |
